Application area of F/UTP Cat 5e ZH ng(A)-HF:

High-frequency twisted pair cables with shielding for structured cabling systems are intended for stationary horizontal and vertical installation considering the combustible load of cables in buildings and structures with large numbers of occupants, including multifunctional high-rise buildings and building complexes where the use of low-smoke cables is required. These cables do not propagate flame during group installation according to category A and are halogen-free in accordance with GOST 31565-2012. They are designed to operate in the frequency range up to 100 MHz (Category 5 and 5e according to GOST R 54429-2011) and ISO/IEC 11801. The cables are manufactured in climatic version U, placement categories 3 and 4 according to GOST 15150.

Operating and installation conditions:

Cables are allowed to be operated at ambient temperatures from −40°C to +60°C. Cable installation is permitted at temperatures not lower than −10°C.
The minimum permissible bending radius during installation and operation must be at least 8 maximum outer cable diameters.

Reliability requirements:

The minimum service life of the cables, provided that installation rules, operating conditions, storage and transportation requirements are followed by the consumer, must be at least 25 years. The service life is calculated from the date of cable manufacture.

Construction of F/UTP Cat 5e ZH ng(A)-HF:

Conductors made of soft copper wire with polyethylene insulation are twisted into pairs with different lay lengths that are neither equal nor multiples of each other. The pairs are twisted into a core with a unidirectional lay. An aluminum-polymer foil shield with a contact conductor made of tinned copper wire is applied over the core. Over the shield there is a sheath made of a halogen-free polymer compound that does not propagate flame during group installation.
