Application area of F/UTP Cat 5e PVC ng(A)-LS:

High-frequency shielded twisted-pair cables for structured cabling systems are intended for fixed horizontal and vertical installation in buildings and structures where the use of cables that do not propagate flame during group installation according to Category A with reduced smoke and gas emission in accordance with GOST 31565-2012 is required. The cables are designed to operate within a frequency range of up to 100 MHz (Category 5 and 5e according to GOST R 54429-2011 and ISO/IEC 11801). The cables are manufactured in climatic version U, installation categories 3 and 4 in accordance with GOST 15150.

Operating and installation conditions:

Cables may be operated at ambient temperatures from −40°C to +60°C. Cable installation is permitted at temperatures not lower than −10°C.
The minimum permissible bending radius during installation and laying shall be at least 8 times the maximum outer cable diameter.

Reliability requirements:

The minimum service life of the cables, provided that the consumer complies with the established installation rules and operating, storage and transportation conditions, shall be at least 25 years. The service life is calculated from the date of cable manufacture.

        

Construction of F/UTP Cat 5e PVC ng(A)-LS:

Conductors made of soft copper wire with polyethylene insulation are twisted into pairs with different and non-multiple lay lengths. The pairs are stranded into a core with a unidirectional lay. An aluminum-polymer tape shield with a copper drain wire of 0.4 mm diameter is applied over the core. A polymer compound jacket with reduced smoke and gas emission is applied over the shield, providing flame-retardant performance during group installation.
